A closer look
The soft waxed and durable Nubuck leather upper is paired with a GORE-TEX lining for complete waterproofness. An Air-Active softstep footbed to wick away unwanted moisture, and the Meindl DUO-DUR III rubber grip sole with PU wedge provides grip and shock absorbency on all terrain. For additional comfort, padding around the lower-cut ankle reduces pressure when walking down-hill.

How does it fit?
We suggest the Peru is a medium to wide width, with the soft waxed nubuck leather upper able to stretch a little where needed after a period of breaking in. Volume is medium to high, so if you have a flatter, shallower foot this may not work well for you.

The boot is mid-height and provides good stability and ankle support as it grips the lower leg well whilst minimising heel lift. The cuff of the boot is very soft, providing exceptional comfort when walking up or downhill. Although reasonably stiff soled, the boot has good cushioning from the P.U sole unit. Sizing is true to measurement from a brannock device, so no need to go up half a size as may be suggested in other brands or models.
